Jake Burton, one of the founders of snowboarding in 1977. BURTON founded a veneer brand company, BURTON, and a veneer factory in Burlington, Vermont. At the beginning, BURTON mainly designed and produced veneers for veneer enthusiasts. After 40 years of development, BURTON's business scope has changed from a single veneer manufacturer to include veneers, fixers, snowshoes, ski wear, luggage, functional outdoor wear and functional casual wear.
