GARMIN was founded in 1989, registered in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, with its RESEARCH and development headquarters in the US. It was co-founded by Gary Burrell and Min Kao. Nearly 30 years ago, Garmin entered the market with aviation GPS navigation products, and has since developed products in aviation, navigation, automotive, sports and fitness markets.
